Countdown to Foggy Bottom Milk Run
Sunday, March 8th, 2020
The Foggy Bottom Milk Run is proud to announce it will be hosting the 2019 RRCA 10-mile Western Regional Championship!
The Foggy Bottom Milk Run was the proud host of the 2015 & 2016 RRCA 10-mile California state championship.
Ferndale, California
Ferndale has been the home of the Foggy Bottom Milk Run since its inception in 1978. A hidden jewel of California's Lost Coast, we are proud and honored to hold our event in this beautiful locale.
Victorian Village
From its well-preserved Victorian-era main street, to its five-minute drive from California’s magnificent, undeveloped Lost Coast, Ferndale is a surprising trip back in time, with just enough modern quirkiness to make it unique.
Fernbridge
Fernbridge, considered a marvel of engineering in its time, was built in 1911 and is one of the earliest examples of a cast concrete bridge. Its beautiful Romanesque design makes it a source of great pride in the community.
Step Back in Time
In this small gateway town to the Lost Coast, 265 miles north of San Francisco, civic pride is of utmost importance, and its byproducts -- lovely old buildings, picturesque streets with cheerfully lit shops -- are almost incidental.
Fairytale Setting
California’s best-preserved Victorian village, you just might like it better than any place you ever lived. Flower lined streets and lovely gardens behind white picket fences surround Ferndale’s gingerbread mansions.
California Historic Landmark
Local creameries, and the town's role as a transportation and shipping center in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, fostered prosperity that produced Ferndale's outstanding Victorian-Gothic residential and false-front commercial architecture.
Ferndale is Magical
A handsomely restored 1890s Victorian village, plus fine art galleries, museums, shops, and B&Bs. Ferndale's Victorian homes and buildings are rendered in Eastlake, Queen Anne, Gothic Revival and variety of other styles.
